On the day of arrival, it’s all about treating your taste buds. Enjoy an oyster evening at one of the city’s best restaurants. You’ll be welcomed with sparkling wine and oysters. Afterward, a exquisite menu featuring the finest ingredients will be served, with an oyster surprise for the main course. If you’re an oyster lover, you’re in for a treat! If it’s your first time trying oysters and you feel unsure, don’t worry—there are other options on the menu too.
On the second day, you will enjoy a truly exceptional nature experience as you pick oysters yourself directly from the oyster beds in the Wadden Sea. Join the nature guides on a trip to the coastal oyster beds and taste oysters in their natural element.
We offer tapas and open-faced sandwiches (smørrebrød) if you want an easy dinner on one of the other days. We also have great local beers, wine, and water.
The holiday apartments range from 54–68 m² and are furnished with 1–2 bedrooms, a kitchen, living room, and bathroom. Balcony or courtyard included.
We provide made beds and towels.
In our lounge areas, you can relax with complimentary coffee, cappuccino, tea, and hot chocolate. Book a private spa and sauna room.

The tours take place on the second day of your stay, unless otherwise agreed.
Drive yourself to the Wadden Sea Centre, from where you will be guided to the day’s destination along the dike or on Mandø. Walking distance: 2–5 km. Duration approx. 4 hours, including introduction and possible distribution of waders, which the Wadden Sea Centre provides if you need to cross a short stretch of water.
Practical information
For the tour, we recommend bringing an old backpack lined with a plastic bag or a bucket if you wish to take a larger quantity of oysters home. Bring an oyster knife and work gloves, or purchase them at the Wadden Sea Centre before the tour begins. Remember to bring something to drink and a light snack (fruit, chocolate, or similar).
Clothing
Warm, windproof and waterproof clothing, as well as long rubber boots. Ski jackets, windbreakers, or similar are recommended. In addition, we suggest a hat, a pair of warm gloves for the tour, and a pair of work gloves.
If you want to take oysters home
Pick the oysters and place them in a bucket without water. Leave the bucket in your car or outside until you are heading home. Oysters can be stored for approx. 10 days when the temperature is below 10°C. In freezing conditions, they can last even longer.
Your safety
We do not recommend going on an oyster tour on your own. Our trained guides are familiar with wind and weather conditions and know when it is safe to eat oysters.
In case of tour cancellation
If wind and weather conditions make it impossible to carry out the tour, the price of the tour itself will be refunded. The stay itself will still take place and is non-refundable.
